Healthy Hooves

Proper hoof care is essential for a healthy horse. AFA certified farrier and hoof care expert Oscar Fermin will discuss what every horse owner should be doing to ensure their horse's hooves are healthy and sound. Oscar will also discuss current information on laminitis.

Equine Thermography

Bruce Hoffman, EquiTherm TX

Non-invasive Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) is a radiation-free technology that uses skin surface temperature to detect minute changes to a horse’s thermal and neural conditions, which can indicate injury or trauma. Equine thermography expert Bruce Hoffman will do a live demonstration of DITI to let you "see" what your horse can't tell you about injuries and pain.

Photonic Torch therapy, which is also called the Red Light Therapy, is a safe and painless alternative healing method in which a Photonic "torch" is used to activate acupuncture/accupressure points along the 12 meridians of the body to relieve pain, accelerate the healing of wounds, and give a general sense of well-being. Photonic therapist Alana Eagletree has performed red light therapy on animals and humans for more than 10 years. She will discuss the concept and benefits of this healing method and will do a live demonstration on one of our sanctuary horses.
